To start, submit an official inquiry by completing this short form. Once we process your inquiry, you will receive an email with user credentials that will allow you to log into our Caldwell Admissions portal where you can schedule a tour, sign up for events, and complete the application process.
Typically, the admissions process begins in the fall of the academic year prior to the year the applicant hopes to attend. While applications are accepted and evaluated on a rolling basis and spaces are offered as available, it is best to begin the process by January or February to allow for the best transition for the student and to increase the likelihood of securing a space. New families are typically notified of grade-level openings beginning in February. If a class is full, you can elect to remain in the wait pool and will be notified if a space becomes available.
Visit our Campus
After you have submitted an official inquiry, you will be able to schedule a campus tour by logging into your admissions portal and selecting a time that works for you. A campus tour is a personalized opportunity for you to see our classical, Christian education in action and for you to experience our vibrant, caring community. If you need assistance scheduling your tour, call us at 336-665-1161.
Submit an Application
Your admissions file is officially opened once we receive your completed application form and fee. Once we have processed your application (this could take up to 24-48 hours), an admissions checklist will populate in your Caldwell Admissions portal. You can begin submitting all documents requested on the checklist. Review these Admissions Procedures for a sample list of what documents are needed, depending on the applicant’s grades.
Schedule an Assessment
Students applying for Transitional Kindergarten through the first grade participate in the Gesell developmental assessment. Students applying for grades 2-11 participate in the Woodcock Johnson academic assessment. Once you have submitted your application, you can schedule an assessment in your online admissions portal.
Parent & Student Interviews
The parent interview is a vital part of the admissions process. After the student completes the assessment, we will contact you to schedule the parent interview. We ask all families to read the following booklet prior to the parent interview: An Introduction to Classical Education by Christopher A. Perrin.
Students in grades 6-11 participate in a student interview which is typically held on the day of the assessment.
Decision and Enrollment
Once your application file is complete and you have completed all items on the checklist, the admissions committee will review your file and notify you of the admissions decision. If accepted, you will then need to confirm your plan to enroll by accepting the offer and paying the enrollment deposit. You can confirm enrollment and pay the deposit in your admissions portal.
